FRIENDSHIP ACROSS THE E.U.
- bilateral partnership -
SummaryOur partnership tries to improve the quality and raise the volume of pupil mobilities. The participants will have a close view into everyday life, culture and nature in each other’s counties. We want to open the pupils’ eyes for European dimensions in teaching and in the way of thinking. By exchanging pupils between our two countries we encourage foreign language learning: Danish and Romanian, as well as improving competences in English which will be the communication language of the project. We support the development of contents, services and practices based on ICT (computers will be used for presentations, for exchanging messages, creating new websites, etc.). This partnership also supports amelioration of teaching methods and of school management, by experiencing and comparing differences and similarities between the teaching systems of two partner organizationsSimion BalintThe school is situated in a rural area in the region of Transylvania, 20 km away from the city of Cluj Napoca. It has 170 pupils and twenty teachers. We have an informatics lab with computers connected to the internet, equipped with headphones and microphones where our teachers and pupils can communicate with the teachers and pupils from the partner organisation. We work with children of different categories. Some of them are coming from social and economic disadvantaged families, such as: rroma families, families with lower income and parents working in other countries. We try to develop foreign language and ICT learning in order to ensure the European dimension in education and build up alternative activities for the pupils. Developing communication skills in foreign languages is a priority in the school, especially for this linguistic project which is an opportunity for pupils in our country to know other children from our partner school and be involved in cultural and sport activities. There can also be a transfer of good educational and managerial practices, in the case of very positive aspects that are noticed in the other school, that we would adopt because they could be efficient for the children and attractive for the communityFriskolen i SkiveFriskolen i Skive is situated in the midwestern part of Denmark, in Jutland. We are a school driven by the parents and funded by the government and the parents. At Friskolen I Skive there are 160 students and 18 teachers. Our main objectives are to find the values in each child and make them grow within themselves. We have no special religious orientation, however the main part of our children are protestant Christians. Our main goals as a school are based on the thoughts of Grundtvig. The school is well equipped in many ways. New and functional ITC machines and DSL connection, a well functioning music room, good facilities for art classes and a new science lab. Most of all we have an enthusiastic staff. |
